Privacy Policy
Last updated October 14, 2026
This policy explains what information VanityPlate collects, why, and the choices you have. It covers vanityplate.org,
the dashboard at app.vanityplate.org and the VanityPlate Discord bot.
What we collect
- Account details - your email address, username or display name and profile picture, from the way you sign in
(email and password, Google or Discord). If you connect Discord, we also store your Discord user ID.
- What you do in VanityPlate - plates you check, watch or add, your snipe filters, and email-alert settings.
- Activity logs - which commands and website actions were used, when and on which plate. We keep these for up to
90 days to run the service and stop abuse.
- Membership status - whether you have Premium. Payments are handled by Whop; we never see your card details.
Whop tells us whether a membership is active for your email.
- Technical data - your IP address and browser details as part of normal web requests, used for security and
rate limiting.
How we use it
- To run your account, check plates, show results and send the alerts you ask for.
- To work out your plan and its limits.
- To keep the service secure and prevent spam, abuse and limit-dodging.
- To answer you when you contact support.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use advertising trackers.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run VanityPlate, for that purpose:
- Clerk - sign-in and account management.
- Whop - payments and memberships.
- Discord - if you use our Discord server or connect your account.
- Google - if you sign in with Google. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts.
- Cloudflare - delivers and protects our website.
- Our email provider - to send alert and account emails.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect VanityPlate and its users from fraud or abuse.
Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in, and our sign-in provider Clerk sets its own cookies for the same reason.
We don't use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. Activity logs are kept for up to 90 days. When you ask us to
delete your account, we remove your account details, watches and filters, except anything we need to keep for legal or
security reasons.
Your choices
- Turn off email alerts with the unsubscribe link in any alert email, or on the Watches page.
- Disconnect Discord or Google, or change your email and password, from Profile and Security in the dashboard.
- Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to delete your account, by emailing
[email protected].
Children
VanityPlate isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child
has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
